Storying Sheffield’s Brendan Stone is co-editing a volume to be entitled Our Encounters With Suicide, which will be published in 2013 by PCCS Books. The profits made from sales will go to a charity which works in the field of mental health.
This text will highlight the experiences and knowledge of those who have been affected by suicide. Contributions are welcome from people who have attempted suicide, or from those who have been affected by a suicide, or an attempted suicide, of a loved one. Both narrative accounts and reflective pieces are welcome.
Contributions should be up to 3,000 words. Pieces can be published anonymously, or with a pseudonym, but you can include an optional 100/200 word biography. Contributions are needed by the end of September 2012.
