This is a project that was very much inspired by Sheffield University’s ‘Storying Sheffield Module’. After studying the fragmentation of different narratives in the Sheffield and Abbeydale area, Funny You Should Ask was an initiative that was launched to engage the community with one another and theatre. Edges: A Musical Comedy is the sixth and final installment of our Sheffield projects and all the funds we make are going towards providing children in the local community with free theatre workshops.
Written by award-winning composers Pasek and Paul, EDGES is a cutting-edge musical comedy, following the lives of four women in New York. This contemporary song cycle follows these women through their issues with family, relationships and the big unknown.
With a superb score including “Perfect”, “Be My Friend” and “In Short”, EDGES will be in Sheffield for ONE NIGHT ONLY at the Montgomery Theatre (doors 19.00, curtain 19.30), presented by Funny You Should Ask, so don’t miss your chance to see this smash-hit piece of musical theatre.
