Here are two soundscapes which combine the voice of Simon Armitage reading poems from his Seeing Stars collection and the voices of Sheffield people in local reading groups discussing them.
The soundscapes were made by Storying Sheffield students, and were showcased at the 2011 Off The Shelf Festival of Writing and Reading. The event included a discussion of a University of Sheffield study into how we respond to poetry. A video about this project is also included below.
