What is “Voice Dialogue”?
Voice Dialogue is a specific method developed to explore the world of the Selves – also known as sub-personalities. This method requires two people: a facilitator and the person being facilitated. The job of the facilitator is to help the person become aware of, and to experience, the various Selves that run our lives and to learn how to use them in a conscious way through the development of an Aware Ego Process. People often perceive the selves as voices.
This workshop is targeted at all mental health workers, criminal justice personnel, third sector agencies and people who experience voices. Costs are £50 (unwaged/student) and £150 (waged) – For both days
Workshop content will include:
– Why we need a construct before commencing with voice dialogue.
– How to develop a construct to identify the selves and voices.
– Making sense of the construct in relation to the person’s life experience.
– How we can relate to the voices/selves.
– Demonstrate how to talk with them in a constructive way.
– How to enable a voice hearer to establish a relationship with the voices.
– Dispelling the fear that voices can sometimes create.
