Storying Sheffield


We are looking for choirs, groups, and individuals who would like to take part in our performance this Sunday 21 September as part of a special performance for the Festival of the Mind. Everyone is welcome! No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a sense of fun.

Venue: Spiegeltent, Barker’s Pool (in front of the City Hall)
Time: 12pm – 5pm (rehearsal at 12.30pm in the tent)
Shows: 2pm & 4pm (free and ticketed, so guests can come and watch)

No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and sense of fun. This is a inter-generational sing-along show ‘mashing up’ old songs such as “If I were the only girl in the world’ with modern tracks from Rihanna as “Only girl in the world’. It is a performance celebrating the joy of singing together and it great fun for participants and audience alike.
We are looking for singers who would like an opportunity to perform in front of an new audience as well as those who just want to participate in a communal choir. Participants can just turn up and participate in 2 ways. Bring your friends and family and make a day of it.

1. Can just be part of the ensemble OR
2. Opportunity to sing in one of performance slots, something you might have already been working on or performed by yourself or in a group.
