On Saturday 28th April there will be a rare opportunity to see ‘Rosalind Uncut’ in a one-off screening at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield.
‘Rosalind Uncut’ is a deeply personal and beautiful film by the artist Claire Blundell-Jones which explores themes of love, identity, memory and grief. It tells the story of Claire’s mother, Rosalind, and her death over 25 years ago. The film is set in Sheffield and the Peak District, and includes meditative articulations of space, as well as moving interviews with Claire’s late father Peter Blundell-Jones. Peter was Professor of Architecture at the University of Sheffield from 1994 until his death in 2016.
Claire Blundell Jones is a London-based artist. She makes drawings, videos, performances and bookworks which frequently explore themes of love, intimacy and alienation.
